No, this is not a “buy my ebook and you can make $30,000 a month with Google” plug. This is real world experience that I am giving to you, my humble (and a few challenged) readers. Everyone poops (except my girlfriend, we’ve gone over this before), but do you make it worth your while (aside from relief)? If you answer no to that question, then try this on:
Educate Yourself.
Yes, that simple. If you sit on the pot and play games, stop. Pick up Ruby/Rails book and read it, start to finish. Read a few pages (or chapters?) every time you go to do your duty. I’ve completed several books this way, and here is how it makes me money.
- I am staying current with technology. Therefore, all the hours I’d have to spend educating myself at night, I can work for a client and make money.
- I increase code quality, which makes me more valuable to clients.
- I work faster, which allows me to take on more work.
It’s quite simple really. I wasn’t going to post this, being as it’s about pooping, but then it reminded me of the cute little book, ‘Everyone Poops’, and figured I could coin the phrase, ‘Everyone Poops For Profit’.
Hopefully this will give some people the hint about asking to borrow my books
